About Rebecca Graham

As a lecturer here at Cal Poly, my role and passion is teaching about and facilitating a love for soils. I am a proud alumni of Cal Poly SLO having earned a B.S. in Soil Science. I received my M.S. in Crop and Soil Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where I worked on research involving sustainable fertilizer management and greenhouse gas emissions from intensive corn-soybean systems. When I'm not in the lab or classroom, you'll probably still find me educating my friends and strangers on my favorite soil topics, hiking, and spending time with my big old orange cat.

Student comments about the teacher:

Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable and always there to help students when needed. She is wonderful to be around and an overall passionate instructor.

Professor Graham brings amazing energy to the lab every week and makes it a comfortable and space to learn.

The instructor clearly loves her students and cares about how her class is run. She is also very enthusiastic about soil science and loves the field of study. This entire quarter she was enjoyable and funny and always there to answer questions.

Rebecca Graham is easily one of the most passionate, knowledgeable, and thorough instructors I have ever had throughout undergrad. Her understanding on the realm of soil science helped me full enjoy the time I had in her class while providing me a vast amount of new information that I can apply to aspects outside of the classroom.
