Student comments about the teacher:

Canestro is one of the best lecturers I've ever had. She's enthusiastic, engaging, and is extremely knowledgeable about the course. I really enjoyed the field trips in this class, especially the restoration project.

Dr. Canestro is an extremely positive professor and is so enthusiastic throughout all classroom interactions. Her excitement and stories of experience are inspiring and serve as positive encouragement to participate in class. The weekly homework consisted of article summaries, which were all very interesting and applicable to our lecture material.

She was an amazing teacher and has inspired me in many ways to take care of the ecosystem.

Incredibly passionate. Truly cares about her students. Very approachable & works gives each individual an opportunity to succeed.

Great "learn by doing" opportunities which the instructor encouraged us all to partake in.
