This includes competitive events like double bucking, axe throwing, horizontal and vertical chopping, and chainsawing. Xi Sigma Pi

Xi Sigma Pi is a national forestry/natural resources honor society. Students receive an invitation during fall quarter to join based on scholastic achievement. The new intiates go through a fun, and not so grueling "rush", where they carry around the official XSP plaques they have hand made and attempt to obtain current member signatures. This usually occurs in the first two weeks of Winter quarter. The group sponsors several special events, such as the Distinguished Speaker Program and a community project.
